There is a word that I am studying now. It is called Equipoise. My study circle was given the directions to seek its meaning. I checked in the dictionary and the thesaurus. Equanimity is one.
But, Equipose even meant things such as mundane, give and take.
To see the Play of Consciousness in things that are not ecstatic, not wearisome; in everyday life is the challenge.
To see Equanimity in having a daily bath, eating meals, drinking water, living in a family that is mine by destiny… that is the challenge.
Daily meditation helps. I dont know why, but it does.
Can we share how Equanimity can be attained outside loftily worded scriptures and make it accessible?
Love.

But to sustain that equipoise during the day requires continuous alert living. A tall order, but the more aware we are of ourselves and our role as contributors in society, the more meditative we will be. Sometimes we have to catch ourselves!
